SINGING
IN
THE
PARK
The
New Kensington Inspirational Music Festival
At
Memorial Park in New Kensington, PA.
Friday
night, July 23rd, 6:30pm until 10:00pm
Saturday,
July 24th, 12:00 noon until 10:00pm
This FREE
event for the entire family will feature outstanding musicians and songwriters
from six states sharing original songs in a relaxed outdoor setting. The festival begins Friday evening, July 23rd, at 6:30pm. Lynn Badamo will be
sharing uplifting songs from her recently completed CD, "Joy." A favorite at
many Pittsburgh area coffeehouses, Lynn’s music will inspire and delight all.
Lynn says, "I pray only for the opportunity to share the songs God has given me
with a wide variety of audiences, young and old alike. To let them know of God’s
love for them no matter where they find themselves in their lives and to worship
the one and only living God, Jesus Christ, God’s Son!!!"
Following Lynn, Edenlight a husband and wife duo from Conneaut will bring their
own special brand of music that focuses on the simple beauty of acoustic guitar
and passionate vocals. Dave and Sue Bicko founded Saint Peter’s Vision in 1997
and recorded and released a CD of original material entitled "Half" with them in
2000. Saint Peter’s Vision eventually evolved into Sevenwise, a band that Sue
and Dave continue to perform and record with.
We are also very blessed to present the music of Bob D’Antoni from Bel Air, MD.
Bob has served both as a minister and business owner for many years. He has
endured the tests and trials that shape a man’s life and emerged rejoicing and
victorious. His songs reflect his deep love and total dependence on God. His
new CD, "Dawn Is Near," has been used by International Care, Inc., to raise
money to help provide a way for international orphans to be adopted by loving
families. Equally skilled on guitar or keyboards, and with a truly beautiful
voice, Bob loves the Pittsburgh area and was a crowd favorite at last year’s
inaugural festival.

On Saturday, July 24th, beginning at 10:30am, there will be continuous music until
10pm, featuring many fine musicians from the area, and from Ohio, New
Jersey, Maryland, and Illinois as well. The musical flow begins with masterful
guitarist John Craig, whose virtuosity and versatility are sure to delight.
Then the singing begins, an entire afternoon and evening as local and visiting
musicians share original songs to encourage, uplift, inspire, and warm your
heart. |
Rounding out the opening night lineup is a scintillating sextet from Ashtabula,
Ohio. Companions of the Lamb is a unique high energy group consisting of three
married couples, and featuring a wide variety of instruments and sounds,
including keyboards, guitars, bass, drums, and horns. While totally involved in
their own community, these six minstrels have felt the call of the Lord to take
the new music to the people outside the walls of their church. We’re excited to
have them back.
The musicians include Sarah Wilkins & John Craig, Tony Mator and family,
Pamela Townsend, Gerry Cramer, Jim Rearick, Michael Mrasz, Grant Van Leuven,
Dyana Dennis, Paul Blackham, Brooke Pinney & Julie Painter,
Companions of the
Lamb, Tammi Waller, Rob Jennings and Genesis, Rick Moskovitz, Jeremy Rochford,
Joy Kitay, Bob Fagin, Bob D'Antoni, Crista Brooks, Carmen Butler, and David
Benrexi & Friends of Messiah.
The uniqueness of this music festival is that all the musicians will be sharing
their own original inspirational songs, the songs that mean the most to them.
Many CDs and videos will be given away during the festival. No one will leave
empty-hearted. This is a FREE event for the whole family. Come and be
refreshed by the wonderful songs that God is bringing to the world as an
expression of His love. Bring someone you care about. And may God put a song
in your heart. This is a FREE event for the whole family. Come and be refreshed by the wonderful songs that
God is bringing to the world as an expression of His love.
