MESSAGE from David Benrexi
Beloved citizen,
These days it grieves me to hear all the political rhetoric about how
candidate A has ruined our country and candidate B has a plan to put
America back on track. Imagine if in order to get hired for a management
position you were required to explain to the company CEO everything that
was wrong with the other applicant.
It seems to me we live in a country that is beset by many problems. Most
people I know are in debt. Many are experiencing tremendous turmoil in
their personal lives. Rioting in Boston after beating the Yankees
resulted in the death of a 21 year old woman who was hit by a rubber
bullet from riot police. Everywhere I look there are invitations to enter
the world of naked women. We visited our daughter in Pottsville and
someone sideswiped Jo's new car while it was parked and drove away without
stopping to claim responsibility. Everyone's insurance premiums are on
the rise while their co-pays and deductibles increase. None of our wars
are "working". I guess you could trot out Alfred E. Neuman, Mad
magazine's 'What-Me-Worry?' kid, and tell me he has the answers to every
problem.
I
think the real problem is we're killing people and reaping the
consequences. I think the only solution is to stop killing people. I
remember a Dr Seuss book called 'Horton Hears a Who' in which an elephant
guarded a flower because he heard a voice and discovered a whole class of
tiny beings, the Whos, that lived on this flower. He defended the flower
while people tried to destroy it, because he believed these Whos deserved
protection. He said: "I meant what I said, and I said what I meant--A
person's a person one hundred percent."
One candidate has promised to maintain legalized abortion, stating he will
only nominate Supreme Court justices who will uphold Roe vs. Wade. He has
voted six times against the ban on partial birth abortion. If elected,
three pro-choice "Justices" (an oxymoron) who are seventy or older can
safely retire knowing they will be replaced by 50 year-old pro-abortion
nominees, who will gain the approval of the congress.
The
incumbent says he won't use Roe vs. Wade as a litmus test, but he has only
nominated two pro-choice judges out of over 200 nominees. Most of his
pro-life judges are defeated or filibustered by our congress. This is the
attitude of our legislators, and I cannot abide how many of these men and
women have sold their souls to get elected.
Our
nation is under a curse. If you read Deuteronomy 28, you will see the
difference between the blessing and the curse.
There
is no way to restore the lives of over 40 million innocent people who were
deemed not worthy of life. As a nation, it is easier to say, "They're not
really people..." but here the elephant has it right. Can this nation
wake up from its drug-induced haze? (Give me Librium, or give me
Meth!!!)
I know we can, but it will take a united effort from a church that is
terribly divided.
How
often we quote II Chronicles 7:14:
"If my
people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and
seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from
heaven and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
I
believe the choice is simple: AMERICA WILL END ABORTION or ABORTION WILL
END AMERICA.
I do not deny that there are many other important issues, but this is the
most fundamental of all: Is God really the creator of life, and do we have
the right to destroy it?
I want to challenge every person who is receiving this e-mail to exhort
every friend on your e-mailing list to:
-
Vote
-
Encourage every friend to encourage their friends to vote by sending
a personal message.
Don't send my e-mail to your mailing list. They don't know me and don't
want to hear from me. They need to hear from you. Tell them why you are
voting for the only candidate that wants to end the killing of the unborn.
Some "pro-choice" people will get hold of this I'm sure, and whatever you
send out will probably reach people that think an unborn person is not a
person. You can't persuade them otherwise. All we can do is exhort
those who could fathom that God is displeased by this killing, to take
positive action.
More and more Americans have expressed displeasure because 1000 Americans
have died in Iraq. When more than 3000 died in a single day in New York
and DC, it was the most horrifying day in our history. But today there
will be another 4000 slaughtered in US abortion clinics:
Here's to the 4000/ Who died today/ All across our nation/ Lives thrown
away/ They may be nameless/ But they're not faceless/ They're lives are
precious/ To the one Who made them Lord forgive us for the evil we have
done/ Open our eyes to the slaughter of our young/ Our only hope is in
Your mercy precious Lord/ No other hope exists except Your mercy Lord
Yesterday the democratic presidential nominee spoke at Jesse Jackson's
Baptist church in Atlanta. His daughter spoke at Deliverance Baptist
church in Wilkinsburg, and Elizabeth Edwards wife of the vice presidential
nominee spoke at Mt Ararat Baptist Church here in Pittsburgh. Mrs.
Edwards said, "You cannot open the doors of government and walk through
and forget that the message of the Lord should be visible in EVERY CHOICE
that we make."
Wow! All three at "black" churches. The rate of abortion among black
women is three times higher than among white women. And the champions of
this killing will get 80%+ of the "black" vote. Heaven help us all if we
elect the pro-abortion candidate, but there will be no help without
repentance.
Wake up America! Remember what Horton the elephant said, "A person's a
person 100%". I will NEVER vote for a candidate that thinks I have the
right to destroy life. NEVER. NEVER. NEVER. |
